I was just tinkering with GA and spotted Internal Redirect in Network tab of Chrome Dev Tools

307 internal redirect

Changing http to https solves it.

  1. What if GA script is sent with GTM and you cannot change http to https?
Or is there a way to change within GTM http to https for the google-analytics js?

  2. Hi You can use GA function

    _gaq.push([‘_gat._forceSSL’]); for GA classic
    and
ga(‘set’, ‘forceSSL’, true); for Universal analytics

to explicitly command the GA to create all its request for HTTPS protocol regardless of the protocol of hosting site.
